GTIN based Event Handler

We intend to create a Outbound Delivery Visibility process. We have defined a material where we assigned a SGTIN. While carrying out load against at that material in Auto ID Test Tool for a particular Document Number ( Outbound Delivery Document Number generated in R/3(ECC 6.0) Without Reference) we are unable to see an event Handler launched in the EM system.

We maintained all the required AO types & Event Types. The Event Types are OBP10_load & OBP10_Pack.

When we checked ..the EM relevance function in EM is RTI10_EPC and this is specific only for a GRAI type of Number. The code in this checks whether the material is Returnable if yes it executes and creates an event handler.

Now do we have something EM Relevance Extractor, FM, something that helps us launch an Event Handler for a GTIN based Material

Hello,

did you check the application log in the ECC system? Transaction /SAPTRX/ASAPLOG. There should be an information about the EM processing and what went wrong.

Thats another aspect fo the problem... we are unable to see any entry in the application Log... for all the Delivery we are making in ECC. Hence we are unable to undertsand the origin of the error.

Hello,

you should check that EM connection is activated in the ECC system:

Transaction FIBF > Settings > Identification

SAP applications. There the Flag must be set for PI-EM.

Afterwards there should be entries in the log.

Thank You Stefen. The setting enabled us to see not only the Log but also the much awaited EH in SCEM.

Thank You very much for the inputs.

We still left with one more issue... to close i.e. We are unable to create a EPC based Event Handler when we are doing the Loading for the Document Number in SAP AII. For this when we checked the Extractor that is getting used... it mentions.. Exit if the category is returnable. Do we need to create new FM and Extractors for all the Control , System , Info Data Extractors... or can we just copy exisiting ones and do little tweaking in the code.

Or can we define the material under returnable category but still give a GTIN number to it. ? In such a case all the Extractors run properly. ! But functionally the material is not a Returnable Material.

Hello,

you can just copy the existing extractor and make changes if they are not completely fullfill your requirements.
