Hi,
On creation of sales order the sales order number is posted to the TM order when the integration is done.
I need to find out how that is done. Does it use PI/RFC? Any other technology?
Thanks!
Neha
Hi Neha,
I recently received training (an internal one) on transportation management 8.1 and your question points to TM Package which Lakshmi is also pointing. (Probabaly a OTR or DTR in TM created via sales order in ECC).
The Connection is via PI.
SAP ECC < ECC6.00 EHP5 has this integration.
This has been detailed on Slide 6 in the below link for your reference.

You should be aware TM comes in as an added component in ECC which we call as Logistics Execution. Apart from this, SAP have also added SAP TM as a separate package which is also integrated with R/3 which means, a separate server is required if SAP TM needs to be implemented. Now let me know which TM you were talking about. The note referred by Shiva also talks about SAP TM.

No...It is standard SAP offering and the integration as well is done by standard. Since I am no expert in either of these areas I need to find out how the posting of SD order number is done in TM order.
okay.
as i said before using IDocs (even for "sap to sap")
