Sales Order Stock in EWM

Hi,

We would like receive,store and ship sales order stock in EWM.How do we receive and store sales order stock in EWM? Do We need to use the stock usage indicator similar to consignment stock?Has anyone used it in EWM ?If you have any input ,please let me know.

Hi Subbu,

You can't really receive sales order stock in EWM. The stock is available in ERP for sales and thus it is sent into EWM via ODR/ODO. Now, the stock is F2 - Available for sale all the time and so will not change it's stock type (even if it goes to the 9020 storage Type). The fact that you picked the quantity form the picking area tells EWM that that stock is available for being sold to the client. So the picking area is, should I say so, the place that EWM sees the stock available for picking. You can play with the correlation of Availability Group and Storage Type but I cannot see the use of such an endeavor.
