Hi experts,

I am applying SP in DEV server and i defined around 50 patches in Queue.

and start import in dialog mode. but after around 1 hrs clock is still running.

i want to check which patch is running.

i checked in PAT01 table it show import_proper and /usr/sap/trans/log patch log nothing is clear.

i want to check the status of patch during import i.e which is running and how many finished....

Regards,

vivek

Hi Vivek, Please check the ALOG1234.SID log file located at /usr/sap/trans/log. that will give you the latest information of the support pack being imported in system + the return code of the support pack like 0,4,8,12, 16 - Based on that you can conclude on the support patch progress.

Hope it helpes.

run ls -ltr  /usr/sap/trans/log to get the latest modified cumulative log

run ls -ltr /usr/sap/trans/tmp to get the latest modified package

put tail -f xxx (lowest filepath), you can see what is going on in SPAM

Open another session, and get into SPAM again. THere check the Import Queue Log for monitoring.

Hello Vivek,

You can check if the logs in the <DIR_TRANS>/tmp/ directory is increasing in size.

If yes, import is running fine.
