Dear Expert!

One of my client is deciding to go on Managed Services on Cisco UCS appliances with Windows 2008 and SQL 2008

1) I am looking the documents which will help me about the pre-requisites of system preparation, installation and accessing procedures by branches and HO.

2) Again, I need following advise

     a) DEV / QAS servers are located with client

     b) PRD servers are managed services

     c) How to integrate and make transport route to transfer reqeust from physical to managed servies likes cloud based.

Regards

Anwer,

This really depends on the network layout. If there is a persistent VPN and the internal network is just extended to the managed services network, it shouldn't be an issue. You should be able to setup TMS like any other landscape where the systems are on the same network.

If there is no direct connectivity, then you will have to come up with some inventive solution. Maybe create a virtual system to release transports to from QAS. Then use a transfer mechanism (FTP?) to move the data and cofiles to the managed servers.

Hope it helps, but if you have more networking info, it would be easier to offer a solution.
