Hello all,
I am also new in IDM and hopefully once of your specialists could help me.
We have to create a lot of SAP Users. My question - how we can copy these users from a reference user with
the same authorities and privileges.
Many thanks for your kind help and best regards
Elisabeth
Elisabeth,
There's no direct functionality that I am aware of in IDM to do this, however it should not be too hard to create a task that does this. You'd need to create one task that "reads" the first users roles and privileges to a temporary table and another that writes them into the new user.
If this user is a template for many other users then I would just setup a task that would directly assign the desired roles and privileges to the new user.

Matt,
Wonder why SAP kept this piece of functionality only for RDS Customers.
Could you be bit more elaborate on this. I am finding it hard to conceptualize.
(1) The first task will read the selected users roles and push them to a temporary table. What type of Pass this should be ? Will I select the first user in the IdM UI and then select this new task ?
(2) The second task will be to read the Temporary Table and write to IdS. Will this be "To Identity Store" pass. I would need a UI to select an existing user or new User ID. How would I do that ?
Your suggestions would be much appreciated
Cheers
