mile stone confirmation

Dear Experts,

What is mile stone confirmation in sap pm.

what configuration settings to be done to achieve this.

Clients are insisting for mile stone confirmation.

Hi,

In PP you can define a operation as a 'milestone operation'. When this operation is confirmed, all the preceding operations are also automatically confirmed.

Unfortunately this functionality is not available for maintenance or service orders. There is no configuration in PM that can enable this feature.

Milestone confirmation can be performed in PS module. You could define milestones in a project and use them for tracking progress and billing. However, short of integrating PS and PM, it is not available for Plant Maintenance.

I'm not exactly sure what your client requirement is, but in PM confirmations are made against Order operations and that is about the extent of it.
