Meter reading estimation

Former Member

Hi,

For estimation of meter reading I want know what is the purpose of weighting units (Where key=05) and periodic consumption when estimating a reading?

Say the base category is set as 'Previous period', the minimum portion percent is define as 600% and period length is 20, that is, total of 120 days how the calculation for estimate is done?

Secondly for 120 days, means it will read 120 days in the past! Right? Will it consider only WORKING DAYS as define in SCAL or all?

Thanks for a prompt reply,

Gavisht.

Hi,

The purpose of weighting key is to extrapolate and estimate the meter reading on the basis of weighting units define in weighting key 05 customization. The minimun portion in rate will give the base period ie. how many weighting units needs to be taken for extrapolation.

You need to check whether factory calender has been taken in portion or not. If it is not taken base period will be 120 days like you mentioned.

Girish

Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
Yes all portion is link to the factory calender. Schedule records are generated base on the factory calender.
Say for example the min. portion is 600% and period length is 20. Weighting units is as follows:
05 |01.01 |150
05 |01.02 |120
05 |01.03 |100
05 |01.04 |90
05 |01.05 |60
05 |01.06 |30
05 |01.07 |10
05 |01.08 |30
05 |01.09 |60
05 |01.10 |100
05 |01.11 |110
05 |01.12 |140
+ Consider the scenario below:
MR datereadingconsumption
05-june
04-may63720705
05-apr63015791
05-mar62224981
03-feb61243739
05-jan60504704
06-dec59800582
05-nov59218
please help me how to get the expected estimated reading for 05-June? show me by calculation.

Hi,

I suppose the estimated consumption for 05th June would be 581.316 unit.

Now calculation would be like-

as min portion is 600% hence the base period will be 6*30=180 days and if you go before180 days from 5th june you would get 8th Jan but the reading is available on 5th Jan so total consumption from 5th jan to 4 May is 3920 unit and the total weighting unit assigned for this period is 520. hence the unit consumption would be 7.538 unit.

Now the weighting unit allocated between 6th may to 4th june would be around 77.2 unit.

hence the expected consumption on 5th june would be around 77.2 * 7.538=581.96 units

and hence the reading would be 581.96+63720 = 64301.96 units
