Hi All,
Can we create Large Line Item events (RFx and Auction and MA) minimum of 1,000 lots for line items with at least 25 price or non-price attributes per line item?
If this is possible will this affect the performance of the tool?
How will this affect all the reports related to the events?
Pls help!.
Regards,
Shikha
SAP Sourcing supports approximately 1000 line items on an RFx. A
precise number of line items is not defined because there are multiple
factors that contribute to the system performance. Those factors
include:
where formula pricing is used, the number of formulas used in a specific RFx. In some cases, line item counts closerto 1500 have been successfully executed because the numbers of thevarious other factors were limited.
SAP recommends a variety of approaches when trying to execute events with approximately 1000 line items. Those approaches include:considering breaking the event into multiple events, considering the use of Excel files to collect the line item data (instead of using the line item functionality in the application), or finding ways to "group" multiple line items into a single line item in the application.
In all cases, when events of this size are being executed, SAP strongly recommends close monitoring of the system and supplier usage. SAP also recommends that suppliers utilize the Excel export/import capabilities of the RFx response to simplify the user experience and limit the amount of time working directly in the User Interface in the application.
It may be useful to work with consulting to review specific use cases.
