Early Watch alert configuration for BOBJ 4.0

Hi All ,

I am trying to configure EWA reports for BOBJ 4.0 .

No workload configuration is appreas in EWA reports.

Please let me know if any one as done EWA configuration BOBJ systems..

Please share the knowledge or document .. It will be greatful for me.

Hi Jim ,

Below are some imp. Prerequisites and SAP Notes recommend by SAP ...

Most imp. Notes are 1653689 , 1508421 & 1540591

Technical prerequisites

SAP Solution Manager 7.1 SP3 or higher

Component ST-SER patch level701_2010_1 SP10

SAP Service Content Update activated

System Preparation and Basic Configuration successfully executed via transaction SOLMAN_SETUP

Hi All,

I have configured EWA for our BOBJ(4.1 SP4) Dev system  completed sucessfully but report is generating only 7 pages.

Please help me on this and i will be greatful to you all

Hi Ranjith  ,

i have not made any document ... but below are step by step procedure ..

1. Refer OSS Note : 1653689, 1722874, 1508421

2. Transfer Tomcat Web App and Business Objects details to the SLD which is connected to LMDB of Solution Manager

3. Adjust the Extended SID according to the rules mentioned in 1653689

4. Perform Managed System Setup for BOE

5. Create Logical Components

6. Create Solution

7. Run the EWA maunally from solman & check.

We have BOBJ 4.0 SP4 P2 connected to Solman 7.1 sp6 and it's reporting in the data. I've made it part of a solution but the EWA for the solution remains blank. I've gone through the SAP documentation but I haven't found a clear guide. The notes or guides in general are for the wrong versions like  the ones mentioned in the post above.

Hi Jim,

Yes it works. I did this a couple of weeks back for our BOBJ SP4 system. The Managed System set up wiki and the OSS note mentioned above should help you. The notes and the wiki would reference other notes which is also mandatory.

Also check the troubleshooting guide and try to figure out where the problem is, are the extractors running and collecting data ?
