CDP(Charac dependent Planning and ECM Change Numbers)

Hi Experts ,

Need your urgent help to understand what all functionalities of ECC
will be impacted or can not be used if ECM changenumbers are not used.

Just to explain my question in more words --

1. If change numbers are not used then I believe all the standard CDP
functionalities can be used (Note --1424281)  but there might be some functionalities in
ECC depending upon Change Numbers -- which can not be used-- can you pls list those.

2. My understanding is -- These functionalities in ECC depending upon
Change Numbers are optional means not at all mandatory for configurable
materials with Class 023 and 300 in ECC.Please confirm.

Hi Rock,

I would agree with you: change number is used to make some changes happen in a planned and documented way. It's not mandatory from technical point of view.

To be more specific, there is even a note 1363744 saying "

The integration of classes using change management is not supported in

the CDP scenario"
