hi we r facing a very serious problem now,we have ionstalled every thing regarding XI ,and every thing is working except the visibility of default adapters in ID we tried a lot imported the sap basis components again and again into the IR but yet unable to solve the problem

Am not sure about the path in XI Installation DVD, would recommend you to do a search for a *.tpz in the DVD.
You have another option, it is also possible to download the zip file from service.sap.com. Here go to software download section and search for SAP BASIS. You will get a lot of hits. Choose the correct tpz file based on your SP level and down load it.

j2ee visual admin is a tool to monitor the j2ee engine....when you will ask your basis guys to open visual admin, for you, then in visual admin there is a tab for services.....just click on the services tab, there you will find all the services of your J2EE engine ....see the status of these services.....
