Solman EHP1 installion

Hello Techies,

                            I have recently installed CRM7.0(sandbox) on windows 2008 server std.etdn.and database is MSSQL 2005.  Now I need to install Solman EHP1 on the same server, on the same drive and on the same database. My Question is  do i need to install again MSSQL 2005 for installing  Solman?? or  i can use the CRM 7.0 database(ie,. MSSQL 2005). and install the Solman?  and what is the  disks pace needed for Solman installation?. Please   any one help me with the right Solution as soon as possible.

Hi,

do you heard abot MCOD (Mulitple components on One database). Using MCOD also the above requirement is posible.

Hi Pavan,

You can instal Solman in the same server and same drive..

CHeck the disk space requirements from the SAP Installation guide for SAP Solman 7.01 .. Moreover coming to the Database there are 2 parts in it..

1) MS SQL Server services - which will be there no need to instal

2) Database Instance and DBSID for CRM and SOlman will be different. When you instal Solman it will create one more DB for the SOlman System ID which is different from CRM DBSID..

You can check this in MS SQL server Managment studio.

Hope this clarifies.

When you want to run 2 instances .. make sure that your hardware resources are sufficient.. Like RAM,CPU and Swap space..
