Glossary Search Issue

Former Member

Hi,

Whenever I login as Administrator in my uPerform server and clicking on Administration --> Server Administration --> Glossary I am getting the below error.

could not find stored procedure "ts_GetLanguages"

I think this is due to some configuration issues in my IIS 7 server as far as I have analysed. In my IIS Server error log. :\Vignette\Collaboration\WWW\uPerformWS\logs\ServerErrors.xml the same error I can see there.

Is there any concept of Active Directory here??

Product - SAP PAK 4.4

DB - SQL Server 2008 R2

Common Apache Solr

All installed on same server.

Please suggest.

Thanks and Regards,

Santanu

Hi Santanu,

Try carrying out all the following steps in this order as these can resolve many issues:

1)#Stop Message Queuing service on the uPerform Web Application server.
2)#Stop RWD Monitoring service on the uPerform Web Application server.
3)#Stop WWW Publishing service on the uPerform Web Application server.
4)#Stop Vignette Collaboration service on the uPerform Web Application
server.
5)#Stop the Common Apache SOLR service on the uPerform Search server.
6)#Start Message Queuing service on the uPerform Web Application server.
7)#Start RWD Monitoring service on the uPerform Web Application server.
8)#Start WWW Publishing service on the uPerform Web Application server.
9)#Start the Common Apache SOLR service on the uPerform Search server.
10)#Open http://<servername>:8983 in Internet Explorer. You should see
the Welcome to SOLR screen once this is successful.
11)#Start Vignette Collaboration service on the uPerform Web Application
server.
12)#Enter http://<uPerformWebAppURL>:8080
13)#You should see a Vignette Collaboration Login screen (Do Not Login);
if not, enter the command in Step (12) a few times until you see it.
14)#All the services have been successfully restarted once you can see
the correct screens in Step (10) and (13).
15)#Now logon onto the uPerform website as an administrator (or yourself
if you have admin rights)
16)#Please let us know whether you can see the normal uPerform website?

Failing this, try the below suggestion

Try performing the following on the uPerform application server with a System Administrator account.

· Log into the uPerform website.

· Navigate to http://uperform website/uperformws/uperformws.asmx

· Scroll down and click "Get languages".

· Click Invoke.

Hope this helps,

Kind Regards,

Matthew

Hi Matthew,

Thanks for the same. Have tried the steps suggested by you but the issue still persists.

When I am Navigating to http://uperform website/uperformws/uperformws.asmx

· Scrolling down and clicking on "Get languages".

· Then Clicking on Invoke.

The page http://uPerform Website/uPerformWS/uPerformWS.asmx/GetLanguages

is not opening.  It throws a HTTP 500 Internal Error. Page Cannot be Displayed.

Thanks and Regards,
