When a DSO or infocube migrated to HANA db via bw on hana, how does the DSO's Active data and change log table data - are exported to hana db, what i heard is, it just creates one flat table in hana db, is it true?

Never got a chance to look at the exported data on hana side, please if someone already has expertise. Can you provide details.

Thanks a lot for the helpful info.

Hi,

In case of DSO, here are the technical changes :

Active table
Column table which consists of three parts for actual, history and delta data

Activation Queue
Column based table

Change Log
Calculation view (Result derived during run time)

In case of Info Cubes, there will be only one table created known as Fact table, no dimention table would be there.

Hope this helps.

All 3 tables exist, I think of the 3 tables, the change log is a calculated view.

Hi,

after migration to HANA database, with just one tcode RSMIGRHANADB, all DSOs, ICs. are converted to in-memory.

e.g. if you display an IC and under settings you see 'Standard IC' and after migration then appears Subtype: SAP HANA optimized IC

from structure point of view there are no more E tables, SID tables anymore. The structure is flat; fact table directly connected to your dimensions.

- faster DSO activation , no indexes....etc.

hope this helps
