Dears

I was confused on inspection plan by using reference characteristic pls see the step i followed

i was created a class characteristic by ct04

and created a MIC with reference with characteristic

and when i assign this mic in inspection plan the upper and lower limit will be in gray(not a editable mode)

but when i create a inspection plan by using a LSMW the upper and lower limit value are editable for the same MIC.that means the refrence characterstic link is breaking on lsmw ...

so why system show the two different way...or may any wrong on LSMW..

Any tips form experts...

Even if the reference characteristic, you can unlock this relationship using "Unlock master insp. char." button in inspection plan.

Then you can change the specification limit.

In my opinion.. your LSMW is doing "Unlock". Please check this.

The insp. characteristic will not refer the master insp. characteristic anymore.

If you know what is reference and what is complete characteristic, you can understand easily.

The value of batch characteristic will be updated whatever reference or not.
