In SRM 7.1, I have an issue in displaying budget for a cost center when making a shopping cart. In the "Budget of" column, the following is displayed, "No budget information exists."
Is this standard?
Hi,
SRM system only checks budget for Controlling objects, which have budget maintenance available in backend. Cost centre budget maintenance is not available in standard SAP ECC and hence SRM will not show budget checks at Shopping cart creation stage.
In case you need to have budget check at cost centre, then you have to activate & implement Funds Management in SAP ECC so that budget checks are activated for cost centre.
After that SRM can carry budget check at shopping cart level or purchase order level.

Yeah that is standard. Per Controlling budget is not defined at Cost center. Budget can be defined at WBS Element or Internal Order.
How ever if your business would like to activate the Budget for Cost center please refer below SCN discussion on how to do that.

Hi,
Budget information for the Account Assignment category Cost Center is not available in SRM as STD. SRM checks for the account assignment category Internal Order and WBS Element. Please refer the below link for further details

The above link refer SRM 7.0. But the functionality is same in SRM 7.1 also.
