Issue during document compare in version 7.0

Hi,

After check out and in of contract document when we do version compare, system is showing the error message as below:

What could be happening here? Any pointers will be appreciated

Just to add, there is an error message in the log file as well:

Unable to locate the fci xml schema setting that may cause serious errors in the web service.

The compare operation in Word failed that is likely caused by a message box. Please go to e:\fci\temp\634838158766590626 to investigate.

This was resolved by doing the following:

1)     Within MS Word – File > Word Options > Add-Ins > Manage:  XML Schemas >  fci.xsd > Schema Settings > Deselect “Changes Affect Current User Only” – This required Basis to have the proper permissions. Also installation of Visual basic was necessary. Both these had to be performed by BASIS team.

Hi Vikram,

While adding fci.xsd schema file, i can not deselect the "Changes Affect Current User Only".

Please help me in this issue.
