Hi Colleagues,
I don´t seem to find a way to migrate a CSV file with the contract importer, in a correct way:
1) i download the MA Template from the Contract Importer
2) I open it in excel to be able to fill the fields with data
3) I save it as CSV
4) i upload it and i get format errors... Its like the excel never saves the Template as comma separated again.
I changed my regional settings to United States, because in LATAM we use the Comma to separate decimal numbers. So now my CSV should be "International"
International | Continental | |
---|---|---|
Character encoding | UTF-8 or MacRoman | |
Line breaks | MacOS X/Unix style (\n) | |
Field separator | Comma (,) | Semicolon (;) |
Decimal mark | Period (.) | Comma (,) |
Quoting | Double quotes (quotes inside a field are doubled) |
This is very important because i´m trying a big migration for a customer, and also because our customers in LATAM will need the information about how to set up their CSV files in order to migrate their own contracts.
Can you please provide some guidance here?
Thanks
Natalia
Hi all again,
I found the solution. I couldn´t see it working for other bugs in the sandbox… but the answer is this one:
The CSV Format accepted by Sourcing On Demand is the “International”.
So the regional settings need to be changed to US:
I´ll take this into account when working with any non US Customer.
Thank you all
Best Regards,
Natalia
