Hi Zain,

Creating Debit memo with the Free goods determination is not a good practice. 

In a Debit memo scenario, there is no material movement.

Insuch case, Free goods determination may not help much.

If this is your client requriement, then please check the below :

1. Setup Free Goods Determination

2. Setup the item category determination for Free goods (Assign item categories)

Then it will do Free godds determination in Debit memo request.

It is not possible to create free goods determination in debit memo because free goods are determined only in the sales doc category "C"(sales order).

Hi Zain,

Please check your document type controls, in billing request you must assign L2 as debit memo request and item category determination should be done with this document type.
