Hi Experts
We are planning to install SAP ECC ERP and CRM on same server.
I have some queries regarding the same:
-What should be the minimum configuration required for this installation. (HDD size, RAM, processor etc.)?
-Can we install ERP first and then CRM or vice versa (not MCOD), will it cause any issues?
-Can we work on both systems simultaneously?
-Is there any other factors to be kept in mind before installation of both on same servers?
Please guide.
Thanks
Harikrishna
Hi,
Answers:-

Need to perform sizing.
Can we install ERP first and then CRM or vice versa (not MCOD), will it cause any issues?
No particular sequence
Can we work on both systems simultaneously?
If you mean installation then yes you can.
Is there any other factors to be kept in mind before installation of both on same servers?
SAPinst binds to default ports. in case of simultaneous installation there can be conflict since the default vaslue would be already occupied by one of the SAPinst instances. So need to set values specifically for the other one. Check installation gide for that. Make sure that system is not overloaded due to too may R3load processes at the time of ABAP import.

Hi,
You may consider to virtualize the physical server or have containers and have separate ERP and CRM instances running on them - each with separate IP and virtual hostname.
The hardware requirement for each of the instances would depend on the sizing results. You can install the systems in any sequence and have them running simultaneously.
Hope this helps.
