Hi
We have just installed ECC6.0 EHP3 on our nice new os/400 v7r1 box.
In order to get to the latest version of SAP we are upgrading the virgin EHP3 system to EHP6.
However in SUM 5.7 Postprocessing we get an error. I can see some CPFB9C7 errors which look like a PASE problem. We are as current with patches as I think we can be.
Its hard to see where the error is, the SLOG731 file does not show the TP 8 error and the files in the ..SUM/ABAP/buffer dir look OK as well.
Basically SUM executes TP PARMLIST('pf=/usr/sap/D01/SUM/abap/var/DEFAULT.TPP put D01')
This returns an error code of 8 and thus fails.

SAP told us this is a known error and seeing as we are 98% complete on the upgrade we are OK. The missing transports are not important it seems.

PASE problem ?
it sounds like this? http://scn.sap.com/message/13544350
did you check you software-installation
GO LICPGM
look at status of product 5770SS1 Option-33 PASE

Chris
I ran CHKPRDOPT PRDID(5770SS1) OPTION(33) and it looks OK. If there was a PASE install problem I think the Solution Manager system we installed last month would have found it by now. I tend to think its an upgrade bug. SAP tell us that we can ignore this last step and our ECC 6.0 system is now at EHP6.
Thanks
Hi Matthew,
it sounds like we are trying to call a PASE program from ILE from PASE within the same job, which would be illegal indeed. To find the culprit I would ask you to open a CSN ticket.
Thanks a lot and best regards,
Dorothea

Hi Matthew,
What Dorothea meant is opening an OSS ticket.
Basically, I share her view regarding ILE->PASE->ILE.... But this effect might come from invocation via TP *CMD. One would need to check this in detail on the host (-> OSS). You could give it a try by invoking tp from the PASE shell (Qp2term).
Second, I do not see that you checked the most recent logs (more than SLOG) in SUM/abap/log. Did you look those up?
Regards,
Thomas
