Hi Marilia,

At Database Access step you must enter the OS database connection user.

It is used SAP<SID> at ABAP NW releases .

Hope this helps you.

Hi Sargan,

thank you so much for you help...but I have one more question

As I said, that is one system copy with the database in other server...

I have already started the first process that was: Install Central Instance but it stopped in the phase:

DB2 UDB Create instance

The installer stopped in this phase becaue it couldn't connect to the database.

My questions is: Should I install the database now and afterwards goes back to the Central Instance installation?

Thank you so much

Hi Marilia,

What I understood is .. you are using a export of some other DB and creating a new system in other server..

IF that is the case, Please use the option Additonal Life cycle options -> System copy -> Instal ABAP / Instal ABAP+Java

You will get this option in the SAPInst in the initial screen..

You can give the label of export dump which you took..

Please refer the standard SAP Homogeneous system copy guide

Thanks,

Hi Jagadish,

the SAP release is SAP Netweaver 2004 and I followed the path: System Copy -> Target System -> Central Sytstem Installation

For me is not clear the correct order:

Should I first start the CI installation or Database installation on the Target system phase?

Hi Marilia,

As far as I know an System Copy by R3load process is based on:

- System Copy -> Source Extraction

- System Copy -> Target Installation ( This step is carry on Installing Centrall instance and Install Database software, the the Export DB image is loaded on your newlly fresh Database instance )

Cheers.
