Need to trigger event..

Hi All,

I am new to WDA and I am looking for a solution or workaround to something I am trying to achieve.

I have implemented a web dynpro application from this blog:

http://scn.sap.com/community/web-dynpro-abap/blog/2012/08/10/freely-programmed-value-help

What I aim to do is to replace the current Employee Search iView with this WDA iView and use eventing between this iView and our existing BSP iViews in MSS. I have created the WDA application no problem, and I have created an event which is fired off using a button, and everything works fine, the BSP is subscribing and receiving the parameter no problem.

Now comes the tricky part.. I want to try and trigger this event without the use of a button. So in the input fields, when you open the search help to find an employee, retrieve the filtered list of employee's, highlight an employee and click 'OK', THIS is when I need the event to be kicked off.

I have looked around and it seems that there is no OnChange event on an inputfield, so does anyone have any suggestions on how I could achieve this functionality?

Regards

Mark

Hello,

I just looked into the blog link and see that you actually need to capture the OK button of the F4 help. In this case, ignore my previous reply. What you can do is implement an OVS class to do the F4 help instead of the freely-programmed search help. Check out the following blogs:
