Enterprise Service in ESM ERP 606

Former Member

Hi All

We would like to use an enterprise service (XI content) called UtilitiesEventProcessing which exists in software component ESM ERP 606, under the namespace http://sap.com/xi/ESM/ERP. This is according to the Enterprise Service Workplace page detail for this service interface.

I have uploaded both ESM ERP 606 and XI Content for ESM ERP 606 found on the SAP support site  into the PI Respository.

The software component appears however it contains no namespaces and therefore no objects to be used. Please see screenshot below.

We are running PI 7.1.

Hello Riaz

Check this link - Discovering Services in the ES Workplace.

"SAP delivers the ESR content and Process Component Architecture models as two different software components. Therefore you will have to download and import them individually. For example, to download the enterprise services for ERP, use the software component version ESM ERP 603 for the model and ECC SE 603 for the content. You should first import the ESR content and then import the Process Component Architecture models."

The ESM ERP content only contains the models. I am not sure exactly what content contains the namespace http://sap.com/xi/ESM/ERP

Check this article ESOA Enablement - Project Task Management. This should help you further.

Mark

Hello Riaz,

I have uploaded both ESM ERP 606 and XI Content for ESM ERP 606 found on the SAP support site  into the PI Respository.

Can you remove both contents and then just import the XI content?

http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/XI/How+to+import+SAP+content+into+the+PI+ESR

Hope this helps,

Hi Mark

I've removed both components and then imported the XI Content, but still the same result, no objects.

Hello Riaz,

Can you delete the SWCV ESM ERP 1.0 and then just import the XI Content?

Hi Mark

I have tried your suggestion but with no change unfortunately. The component shows up however it only contains models and no namespace with any usable objects.

Hello,

Can you go to the changelist tab and then reject all changes in ESM ERP and then try reimporting again?

Hi Mark

There are no changes on the change list to reject. The change list only comes into effect when you create an object from scratch or edit an existing one. Not when importing software component versions.

Hi Riaz,

Just a suggestion ...

"UtilitiesEventProcessing" is the name of the Process Component. So you will probably find the Process Component Model withing the XI Content ESM ERP 606.

Start here with the Advanced Meter Infrastructure ES Bundle homepage:

http://esworkplace.sap.com/socoview(bD1lbiZjPTAwMSZkPW1pbg==)/render.asp?packageid=DE0426DD9B0249F19...

Then goto "Utilities Event Processing" section of the bundle --> then select the "Create Utilities Smart Meter Event as Bulk" inbound service operation (if you need the inbound one). It then starts referring to:

- Namespace: http://sap.com/xi/IS-U/Global2

- Software Component version IS-UT 606

So maybe try XI Content for IS-UT 606 & see what it yields.

Hi Trevor

We have IS-UT 604/5/6 as pre-existing software components in the repository for our current AMI implementation. The service i'm looking for only exists in the ESM ERP 606 bundle. I've confirmed this on ESWorkplace by filtering my search by service interface not process component.

According to ES Workplace the service interface exists in ESM ERP 606 under the namespace http://sap.com/xi/ESM/ERP. Please see screenshot below -
