SAP GUI for HTML errors/locks up

Hello,

We have a situation where our SAPGUI for HTML (webgui) is behaving incorrectly.

When we try to load transactions through it, we receive a blank "SAP Popup Window" that locks the entire window.

When trying to do anything from the basic SAP Easy access menu we get a "this.ucf_form not set" error and it does not allow us to do anything. In the developer mode of Internet Explorer we see the following errors with the popup, some of them multiple times depending on what we click on.

SCRIPT438: Object doesn't support property or method 'bIsIconButton'

lightspeed.js?200, line 37 character 6795

SCRIPT5007: Unable to get value of the property 'putHiddenField': object is null or undefined

sapItsMapi.js, line 3963 character 6

We are on ECC 6.0 EhP5 SPS10 (SAP BASIS 70210)

In the program WDG_MAINTAIN_UR_MIMES, the mime versions do match.

Has anyone seen anything like this?

Thanks!

The root cause of this issue was the corrupted sar files in the dir/exe directory.

We had to delete the ...\data\icmandir\ subdirectories and in DIR_EXE replace the ITS.sar, icmadmin.sar, wdispadmin.sar with new copies of these files. When EhPI did the kernel upgrade, it looks like corrupted or incorrect/old versions of these files were copied over.

By deleting the \icmandir contents and manually uncar'ing the files into their appropriate place this put the correct ITS files in place.

A simple bounce of the box and our SAP GUI for HTML was fixed.

Hi Broderick,

Thanks for posting the answer. This is what I suspected happened as I have seen this issue before many a time with a 720 Kernel.

Rather than manually up-packing the sar files - recommendation from SAP is to upgrade the Kernel.

See the KBA 1651937  Integrated ITS 7.02: WEBGUI is not loading ("Please

Wait" message)

Either way - glad to hear you resolved and thanks for posting the answer again.

Oisin

Hi,

Try to go to SE38 - > W3_PUBLISH_SERVICES -> Execute

Select Below and "Publish"

Search for Global and 'Publish"

Hope it helps,

Cheers,

Thanks Nicholas, that actually helped clear out some of the bugs by republishing those. We still are getting a blank "SAP PopUp Window" when we try and open a Multiple selection drop down or a selection box for a field. This also still hangs the screen and we have to refresh to get it away. Any other input is appreciated.

Hi,

Perhaps you can check below link:

Also, ensure integrated ITS services is published. Refer to thread below:

Hi Broderick,

You are using the UR WEBGUI here - if you have SAP BASIS 70210

What is exact your 720 Kernel version?

Would recommend upgrading the Kernel if you are using an old 720 Kernel version
