Hi Gurus,
Good day.
We're in the process of deleting old pictures/data in our MaxDB thru content server.
Just wanted to check if we are going to delete the information in tcode OAAD it does mean that this data is also deleted in MaxDB? What are the tables that we need to check in MaxDB that this is indeed deleted? Is it using report DMS_KPRO_READ? - How do I use this report? Because everytime I execute this, it doesn't display any data.
Please advise.
Cheers,
Virgilio
Hi Virgilio,
DMS_KPRO_READ shows the originals attached to a DIR that has to be entered in the initial screen (DOKAR/Doc#/DOCPART/Version) followed by F8 (execute).
If you don´t get an output, the selected DIR is nonexistant or it contains no original(s) .
The tables in MaxDB for the originals are "Documents0001" (management) and "Components0001" (for the file itself).
But the handling inside these tables is not really smooth. Take care what you do there.
As an alternative to verify that files are getting deleted check the size of the database in the DB manager before and after (during?) deletion. Changes can be seen there immediately.
