Notifications on change in schedule dates

Hi,

We are implementing Sourcing 7.0.01.

There is no alert or notification sent to all the collaborators when

there is change in schedule dates.

For Example, when a project was scheduled to start a month later but

due to some emergencies start date was moved a week ahead. This should

be conveyed to all the collaborators involved in the project within the

tool.

Is there any capability in the tool that we can provide this to our

customer? As the dates of project are very important and affect the

client's business.

Hi Shikha,

when you are refering to Start date, do you mean the base date or the start date of an individual task on the schedule tab ?

Hi Shikha,

in that case, you could possibly do some Scripting to get that to work.

You could do a field validation script on the base date and when ever the base date changes, the system can trigger a script and that would send an email.

This email is not standard-system generated (such as e.g. Invitation to RFx) and would need to be coded as well.

However, keep in mind that the script doesn't know what has changed, it would just recognize that something has changed.
