Integration difficulties with components running on different NetWeaver versions

Hi Experts,

  For our customer, we will be running MII on Netweaver version of 7.3 & other SAP applications like BI, XI, EP run on Netweaver version of 7.0. Will there be any difficulty in integrating these components due to the difference in versions. Is there any SAP documentation that throws light on this so as to build customer confidance on this.

You could make a document lookup in SAP Service Market places for specifics but in general you shall not have problem connecting MII to these SAP applications like BI, XI, EP. FYI, MII makes a connection to XI using either HTTP or Web Service which is not a tightly hooked connection. MII needs a WSDL and uses SOAP to send messages to PI. Also HTTP integration option uses the HTTP Post action to send messages to XI/PI. So it should be fine to have MII connection to PI/XI system which is running on different NetWeaver version. Also the OLAP query request is made through the Web service interface of the target system so shall also work.
