how to create dynamic variant in VA05N

Hi Champs,

My requirement is simple as follow.

I want to run VA05N with only document date in selection. Rest of the field will be blank.

And for the same I am trying to schedule the background job. I know SM36 and SM37 mapping. Only thing I am stucked up is to set document date in variant.

I want to set document date as follow.

From date: 01.09.2012 (always fixed)

To date: (Current date - 1)

How to set this variant ?....please help...

Just sharing the following result which I found out.

I had found out that variant can not be saved with one value dynamic and other is fixed.

SAP has different option for the same as shown below.

My suggestion to SAP is to develop one more option like (fixed date, current date - xxx).

There is no variant creation option in VA05N and hence you can try to hard code this in program SD_SALES_ORDERS_VIEW.   Alternatively, you can also try with Function Module SD_SELECT_SALES_DOCUMENTS

Option to create variant in VA05N is available.

Just enter required values in VA05N input screen and save the selection. SAP will redirect you to variant save screen where you can manage variant.

that you are looking for is not fulfilled from it. You have various other options available there.

I think you will have to think the way Lakshmipathi has explained.

I always prefer to get solution in standard SAP first....Otherwise with Z-program I can do any thing...

I had tried by myself to find out the solution is standard but not succeeded.

But now I think I will have to go with Z-program only to meet my requirement as its not possible to set variant as per my requirement.
