What is a service pack? What are the service packs we actually use in scenario?Which servicepack u r using?
A service pack (in short SP) is a collection of updates, fixes and/or enhancements to a software program delivered in the form of a single installable package. Service packs are usually numbered, and thus shortly referred to as SP1, SP2, etc. It is notable that they may bring, besides bug fixes, entirely new features

HI,
Recent is SP19 .. it is nothing but PI7.0
SAP ships quality enhancements, program corrections and updates in Support Packages. To solve smaller problems, you can use individual corrections, known as single patches. You implement these corrections from SAP Notes.
Support Packages are available on the SAP Service Marketplace at service.sap.com/patches.
In this area, you can find information on the availability of Support Package Stacks. These are collections of Support Packages for a product version, tested by SAP and recommended for import.
For more information on Support Package Stacks, see service.sap.com/sp-stacks.
You use the following tools to import Support Packages:
· For Support Packages and patches for SAP J2EE Engine, use the tool SAPinst.
· For Support Packages and patches for the applications, use the tools Software Development Manager (SDM) or SAPinst, depending on the application.
Regards
Chilla..
