Dear Gurus.............
Brief about the process:
Railways providing transport service for carrying goods from one loaction to another location for that railway collects the freight charges from customer.
The current process of my customer (Railway)
1. Customer approaches to railway authority for transpoting the goods from place A to Place B on XX XX date.
2. Rlwy person checks the vailability of the wagon and provides approximate date of wagon avialbility
3. Customer agrees that date , then Rlw person calculates the freight chagres and ask the customer to pay the total amount.
Freight calulated on the basis of Wagon type, Distance, Route .
4 Wagon will allocate to the customer once recieves the total freight charge amount.
5. Customer will load the goods (loading goods may be Cement, grains, Sugar, Wheet etc) in the wagon .
6. Wagon to be waited at Weigh bridge and goods net weight to be captured in the consignemnet note / invocie.
7. Railway authority issue consignemnt note / Invoice to the customer and few set of copies to be handover to rail driver.
8. Once reached the wagon to place B goods will be unloaded . later the same wagon can be used for another destiantion ( From Place B to Place C). It means that wagon may or maynot be return to the origin destination . It means the wagon moves one pace to another place.....
In simple words, Customer paid the amount in advance -- ralway allocated the wagon to load the material-- after loading teh materila railway issuing Consignement Note / invoice .
My Question:
1. How to map in SAP SD the above process.
2. Wagon to be treaded as what type of material ?
Need your suggestions on above ...
Regards
This can be treated as a Service related process and hence, the material type can be DIEN
