Parameter ipc/shm_psize_10 in ECC6

Hello

We have upgraded kernel to 720 in ECC6, To overcome from performances issue, we have decided to set the parameter ipc/shm_psize_10.Want to know are there any parameter dependent to it and also can we directly change on Production boxes, if so will there be any impact on system or do we need to follow DEV ->QAS->PRD.

Hello

Many of the SAP buffers are contained in shared memory pools. When the sizes of these buffers are changed, it is necessary to adjust the size of the corresponding pool as well. Please refer below sap help link and related links for more insight:

Hi,

Please run the sappfpar check from the OS level command:

sappfpar check pf=profile_name

The profile parameter values will be suggested automatically then. The recommendation would take care of dependencies on other profile parameter values as well.
