I just want to know what r the steps to initiate Reccuring inspection.....

Hi

-The material need to be batch managed.

-Define the inspection interval in material master.

-Go to QA07, select the radio buttons according to your requirement, i.e whether to post the stock into    QA or block after the inspection interval time. Create & save the variant.

- Create background schedule with this variant.

system will prompt the inspection lots as per the schedulling.

Hi Rajiv

You go to QA07, enter some values like Material, batch, plant and also select appropriate radio button then save the transaction. Now system will ask you to provide 'Variant Name', provide the same & save.

Now you can use this variant and schedule the background job in SM36.

This background job runs as per the frequency you set. Whenever this background program runs, system will create the inspection lots if anything is due for that period automatically.

So you don't need to go every time in QA07 & execute it manually.

In short, Variant is saving and assigning default values to the transaction to execute.
