PPDS Optimizer not sequencing orders in ascending Fashion

Hello,

We have 2 issues we are trying to resolve:

1) After the optimizer planning run,  proposed plan is sequencing orders not necessarily in ascending fashion while campaigning them together. Old orders are scheduled on a later date, and the newer orders are on an earlier date. FIFO rule is violated.

2) Orders are sometimes overlapped, in spite of  the resources being defined with Finiteness Level of 5000 and also with there being time before and after the orders start and finish.

Any information or pointers will help.

Hi Mithun,

You can try two things for your first problem:

1. Check the value of PP Optimizer profile parameter "Validity periods of orders". Change it to Regard as hard if the current value is Regard as soft. Re-run the optimizer and evaluate the results.

2. Increase the maximum delay costs and total delay costs to exceed the other costs by a signficant margin. Re-run the optimizer and evaluate the results.

For the second problem, check if some of your resources have the checkmark "Can be used by several operations" in ECC.
