What is not working??... whats the error message?.. not enough info here.

By default that seems to point to smartforms.wdf.sap.com:1080, so indeed that doesnt work.

Certainly, that address (smartforms.wdf.sap.corp:1080) doesn't go anywhere... (At least not ouside SAP internal domain)

smartforms.wdf.sap.com:1080 --> internal domain, so it will not work in your network.

Hi Rami,

The url is hard coded in include MSSFOI01 and is firewalled.

Not really sure what are you expecting to see as homepage?... Not really a SMARTFORM person myself.

The url is hard coded in include MSSFOI01

If this is true, it is likely that link never intended to work outside their network.

Hi Rami,

Goto SE38 and enter program name as MSSFOI01 .Seach for "exporting   url" . It will take you the line:

exporting   url    = 'http://smartforms.wdf.sap.corp:1080'

This is where it is picking its value from. The url is not open for public access. Most likely it is behind a firewall or probably doesn't exist. So you are not able to access it.

Hardcoded  = Writen in the program code rather than as a changable variable.

SOmebody probably put it for fun or may for testing and then forgot to bring it out.. Hadn't someone referred to Shakespeare's works in documetation of a transaction 🙂 There is old thread on that..

Agree with you, this was probaly intended as a link to the documentation maybe... not the first or last broken link around SAP.

Then I can`t update it to a link that can work ?

Well you can but then you unecessarily are changing a standard SAP program. I mean what url do you want to specify and why ? What exactly is the need to use this url?

Dear Ruchit ,

I`ve started to understand you , but you mean that there is no URL for SMARTFORMS ?

Hi Remi,

Most likely not. Infact it seems in releases lower than NW 7.0 this link wasn't there.

However if you want to confirm good idea would be raise it with SAP via OSS.

Regards.

Ruchit.
