I want to create time dependentproject version.Pls suggest me what r the configuration i have to do?

Hi,

Project versions helps you to record snapshot of project at specific time.There are two ways as mentioned below.

1.     Project versions are created manually in either in the network maintenance transaction (CN22)

        or in the WBS maintenance transaction (CJ02). In this case, the version profile determines

        which data needs to be copied.

       You can use transaction code CN72 to create Project version. In this case, all data will

       be copied to project version irrespective of the version profile.

2.     Secondly, Project versions are created automatically when a status changes.

        In this case, project profile contains a reference to version profile which specifies the name of

        the project version to be created when specific user or system status is set.This version profile

        is entered in the project profile or network profile.

       Please refer following path in config for version profile.

       SPRO ->Project system-> Project version -> Create Profile for Project Version

where we have to config for version group.While creating  version in CN72 its asking for version group?

There is no config required for Version group.

You can give any alphanumeric character which is easy to remember .

Indicates that the time-dependent version is called for milestone trend analysis (MTA).

System status should be REL sap standard with the version key RELEASED - Version at release

Hi M D,

            The path is as follows:

Project System -> Progress -> Progress Analysis -> Maintain Progress Version

There you have to select the relevant Progress Version and CO Area. In the section 'Earned Value' you can change the setting for the EV Basis.
