Dear team,
There was a requirement for creating new roles by copying from existing roles with only organisational value changed.I was suggested with 2 ways.
1. To directly copy the roles via pfcg using copy button and then change the org value. In this, the master role is automatically copied.
2.To create a new role using pfcg and placing the master role in derived section and save it.
Then navigating in master role and generating the derived roles.
Then navigating in the new role and changing the org value manually.
I need to know, is both the ways same or different ?Which is more beneficial ??
Please let me know if any more details required..
Thanks
Imaan
it depends on the structure of the company,
First way will be easy to make
Second way will easy for later maintenance of the roles
If your Authorization matrix looks like Main Role (Master Role) and 5 Child roles (same authorization with different Org levels) go for second option

The easiest and best way would be to copy an existing roles to a new role.
