Activate SU management

Hi

For certain storage types,we need to activate SU management.But currently its not SU managed  ,also,stocks available with Open TR/Open TO/Master data .

Is the following procedure ok for changing the storage types from Non SU managed to SU managed.Am i missing anything?

1. Download the WM stock data with existing BIN details.

2. Create BDC / LSMW to create and Confirm TO for transfer of material from one storage type to other storage type.

3. Transfer the material from existing non SU managed storage (say 104) type to dummy storage type (say Z01).

4. Change Storage Type 104 to SU managed.

5. Transfer the stock back from Z01 to 104 using the BDC/LSMW with BIN details in it.

You need to remove all open TO/TR for the storage type before activating SU for the storage type.I can see your points are oky to me.

OK.

1.What about in Material Master/Bin Master data... should we change or refresh the Bins Maintained in Material Master.Since these are fixed storage types

2.There are Open TOs for output delivery..should we cancel TO or confirm TO.

If we cancel the TO,.is it possible to create a new TO for the same delivery after SU managed

3.any impact on cycle counting
