INSPECTION CHARACTERESTIC FOR TEXT AND VALUES

Dear experts

Is it possible to create a Master inspection characterestic which will accept both text and number values

if it possbile pls tell me how to create a MIC there we can enter any value at the time of inspection

hi,

No this is not possible that MIC have both values at a time either it will be Quantitative or Qualitative. but for text u may use the text fields for entering the text against the MIC's along with numeric data.

Is it quallitative??? and charcterestic attribute need to tick..???

Hi,

It depend upon your requirement.If you want sampling procedure,summarized or single result recording,whether you want defect recording.Based on your requirements you can select.

Hi Abu

You Can not have both Qualitative & Quantitative data for same MIC. Here you need to select either any of the above in control Indicators.

What you can do is, you can select the qualitative indicator while selecting in control indicator. Now you need to maintain all the possible results in Catalogue codes & selected sets with both numerical &

texts. But remember, you can have only these available options to enter the results & you may not be able to enter the results externally.

If we are using class charactrestic can we achive this?,

bcz while create class charct.there is an option for selct text charct.....

any body utilzed it pls help...
