order reason

Dear sd gurus just this basic logical question

             we can find reason for rejection in header level and item level.but order reason is only in header level not in item level

but the main purpose of order reason is to know why particular customer ordered this item .it is very use ful for reporting purpose and  market analysis.

for ex

in sales order 5 types of material orderd

10 ...A      20 ...B          30.....C               40......D             50.......E

BUT   here A Materiel is ordered bz of advertising in TV

                B   Materiel is ordered bz of companying

                C   Materiel is ordered bz of  Providing service

so my doubt is why order reason is not available in item level  in this case if we assign header level  only one order reason for all items ,it takes miss communication to company....

pl explain ... order reason is  available in item level?

dear,

this is sap design "as is"

just 2 tables in database TVAU and TVAUT

you probably may to accomodate one of existing fields, but the best idea is to create a new custom filed on item level

Hello Venu,

I am not able to locate rerejections at HEADER level ?

As per my understanding Order reasons are defined at Header Level and reasons of rejections are Item level. Same can be configured at IMG>S&D > Sales> Sales Header .

Objective of order reason and rejection is to know the Inquiry to Quotation and Quotation to Orders rate and if not why rejected.
