how to connect non-sap databases with mdm without using middlewares

hi all,

how to connect non-sap databases( like oracle ,sql server and xls ) with mdm without using middlewares .

could you please help me out ,any step by step procedure for  how to connect non-sap databses with mdm.

Hi,

You can connect to other databases(xls for example) through SAP MDM Import manager.

Import manager helps you to import data into your repository which can leter be surfed through Data manager. As soon as import manager is opened, following screen would appear:

Insert Repository information along with username and password.

Language would be EN-english ,preferred. Later, click next.

In the following screen enter  Type as :Excel

Select remote system(already available in your MDM repository) for which you wish to upload data through excel. Last step would be to select file from your directory and hit finish.

After performing these steps, Select the destination table (already available in repository) to map fields and import the data.
