One WM-Movement type and different confirming behaviour

Former Member

All,

I have a certain WM-MVT where always AutoQuit (both flags in the MVT-setup set) is desired, except one:

When a certain Source-Storage type is found, then confirmation shall only be proposed.

Is that possible to control?

Maybe by the user exit MWNTO0001?

Thx.

Thomas

Hi,

the easiest is to set the "Confirmation requirement" indicator in the storage types accordingly.

You have a storage type where you pick from and one where you put away to (which is in this case probably the goods issue area / interim storage type). You do not set the flag "stock plcmt requires confirmation" in the interim storage type, you do not set the flag "stock rmvl requires confirmation" in a), but you set the flag in b). When you have a movment between two storage types where no confirmatiion is required, the TA is always "confirmed" automatically.

Hi Jürgen,

thx. so far.

What you meant with "

you do not set the flag "stock rmvl requires confirmation" in a), but you set the flag in b)."

esp. I mean: what do you understand under "a+b"???

Thx

Great...works...but which role do the conf-flags in the MVT play?

You say: When you have a movment between two storage types where no confirmatiion is required, the TA is always "confirmed" automatically.

Clear, so far, only for understanding:

Does that mean:

a) You have 2 storage types, both WITHOUT any conf-required-flag, you do a movement, and whatever is set (or not) as confirm-flags ("TO item can be confirmed", "Propose a confirmation") in the MVT, a confirmation will happen in every case.

b) This two flags only have "their function" if  stock removal/placement in the storage type is set.

Hi,

"a) You have 2 storage types, both WITHOUT any conf-required-flag, you do a movement, and whatever is set (or not) as confirm-flags ("TO item can be confirmed", "Propose a confirmation") in the MVT, a confirmation will happen in every case."

Exactly. Technically the TO only knows the status "open" and "confirmed". So if no confirmation is required, it simply has the status "confirmed".

"b) This two flags only have "their function" if  stock removal/placement in the storage type is set."

Correct.

What is the Business scenario here ?

You can define that startegy & put the control Indicator accordingly. So system will fin only those storage type

The scenario is:

When they do MVT311 or MVT 201, they want to decide "manually" where the material is to be picked.

When in storage a) the auto-quit

when b) then not

So, what do u mean? 311 and 201 are both removal strategies ("A")

Sorry, do not get it currently, how/what u mean do realize it...

Did you mean the customer exit MWMTO001? You may refer OSS Note 1112462 - Customer exits at the end of TO creation and confirmation
