Issue in configuring SAP AS Java

Hi,

I use to configure SAP J2EE engine for my previous project by providing the message server host & port in NWDS.

Now I am using NWDS for SAP NetWeaver 7.3 & this NWDS is new to me.

I want to configure SAP AS Java so that I can deploy my components directly into DEV Portal.

I am facing an issue while configuring SAP AS Java.

Instance Host Name: abc.xyz.com

Instance number: 01

I could able to login the portal http://abc.xyz.com:50000/irj/portal

Popup meassage: UNaccessible SAP Instance

SAP Instance cannot be accessed at present

check SAP instance number is correct, host can be access on the network, the sapstarsrv process is running and the proxy settings are correct.

Note: I open the Portal & check the instanace number through sap netweaver adminstration

Kindly provid me the support in configuring SAP AS Java, it will be appriciated.

if it is intranet, i don't think you need the proxy.

http://abc.xyz.com:50000/irj/portal    it means the instance number should be 00

It is resolved.

The basis team had open the port: 50013

Hi Jun,

i am facing the same issue.

i have tried accessing the url directly, it is working fine...
we are also using 50000 port for this, both BASIS team as well as our Network team has opened the port. but still i'm getting this issue..

can you help me out this problem?

can we find somewhere how to setup SAP AS Java server correctly so that we can confirm this with BASIS.
if there is something wrong with the server.
