Rename User SAP BW

I have version 7.3 for SAP BW NETWEAR and let me know if this version can rename the user ID, to try to make the option appears disabled.

Someone please tell me if this version shows this process applied to rename users or should I apply some note

It is not just greyed out. The coding has been removed.

You can no longer rename users on the DB. You must copy them and disable the old account.

IMO this is a good thing.

are you referring to the global settings in RSA1 -> Settings -> global Settings ?

Dear Liliana,

The renaming function was removed in standard.

Kindly have a look at SAP Note #1694357.

If you really need that funcitonality, please use the copy function instead. As you already know for sure, we recommend not to delete users in production systems, therefore please consider if you really have to delete the outdated user-IDs.

(In the past, renaming was technically simply a copy of the user with subsequent deletion of the old one)
