Unable to Publish from MDM Publisher to Adobe inDesign

We were using MDM 5.5 and recently migrated to 7.1.

We had published from MDM Publisher to Adobe inDesign - we still have the old catalog in inDesign.

The person over this area left recently and the Marketing Team is trying to update the catalog.

We have inDesign running on the client.  We have MDM Publisher 7.1 running on the client.

We attempt to Publish.  We attempt to publish, we get the dialog, we use the default format of Adobe inDesign.  For Paper Module we have used both the IP of the machine and local.  Neither results in success.

In all cases, once we click OK, the dialog disappears but nothing ever happens.  We get no errors - it just does nothing.

Any help on what might be wrong or where to look for an error would be appreciated.

We can get publisher to publish an XML document, but we cannot get it to communicate with inDesign.

Other messages reference the MDM plugin for inDesign.  One message indicates that when the plugin is installed, users see a MDM tab in inDesign near Help.  We do not see this.

How does one determine if the indesign plugin has been installed?

Assuming it has not been installed, can someone provide a path to the location of the download?  I have spent an hour looking through Service Marketplace and cannot find any reference to it.  One post mentions that plugin support for CS5 was added in SP06, but I have looked through SP04, SP05 and SP06 notes and they do not reference this.

Thanks.

Found the problem - the client machine had inDesign 5 and inDesign 5.5 installed.  The plugin is only for 5, but the marketing team was starting 5.5.  Thus it appeared that the plugin was not installed.
