TDMS 4.0 Z-tables/programs not transferred.

Hello there

We tried to do a Time-based/CompanyCode reduction for ERP system using TDMS 4.0. It was not possible to do a system copy using SAPINST for the shell creation part, as the sender system is on ECC5.0 [640] Oracle 11 ASM. So we did a client copy of the sender system using SAP_EXPC Profile. Afterwards during verification, we noticed that none of the Z-programs/tables/fields were brought across. When we do a table comparison between sender and receiver system, a lot of z-tables are 'missing in receiver system'

When attempting to manually include all z-tables during a new setup phase, it does not allow me to select 'Full Transfer' during 'Reduction rules for tables 'on the customer table. Clicking on 'Customer Tables' and selecting 'Full Transfer' does nothing and the z-tables' transfer catagory remains 'System-defined No Transfer]

If it is not possible to run the shell creation part of the TDMS transfer [due to ASM restrictions]. What would be the best way to get the remote system 'frame/shell' to be exactly the same as the sender system?

Hi,

What is the issue with ASM and TDMS Shellcreation?

The SAPinst process is using R3Load for the export and should normally be transparent to the Database backend.

In addition the Shellcreation has nothing to do with the filling of any Z-table (Except the Z-tables are all client independent. Then they would be copied!

The client dependent Z-Tables should be copied with the TDTCC profile (if not there should be a note or you have to create an oss message for that because they shoudl be part of the transfer!)

Best Regards

Hi Stephan

I plan to run the same scenario and wonder if you found a solution or explanation to this problem?
