Use of DMS fields in Characteristic - CT04

What is the use of DMS fields in the characteristic (CT04) on additional data tab page. How this information can be utilized.

hi,

Suppose u have a scebario where different assembly componenets are there, then in that case, u need to maintain the Class and Characterstics relevant to the main material where all those components assembled and that finished product is produced , then at that time , what are the designs, colors, autocad files, fixing of one component with other , so all these kinds of information u need to attach with those defined characterstics.

it is verey useful, test in Test server.

• Document
• Document Type
• Document Part
• Doc. Version

can be used to link a document info record to the characteristic. This can be used to add documents

or other similar information to this characteristic.
