Quick SAP Upgrade Path, SAP R/3 470 WAS 620 to SAP ERP 60 EHP6

Hi Basis expert,

Anyone success upgrading SAP R/3 470x110 WAS 620 as SOURCE to SAP ERP 6.0 EHP6 with unicode conversion as TARGET with quick upgrade path like this?

Old Hardware (source) --->  New Hardware (target)

SQL 2005 x64 SP4     --->    SQL 2012 x64

Win 2003 x64  SP2     --->    Win 2008 R2 SP1

Which media list are using for System Copy and SAPINST?

I suggest you a 3 step approach for this .

1. Upgrade from R/3 4.7 110 to SAP ERP 6 EHP5 as non-unicode 64 bit system . SAP ERP 6.0 EHP5 supports SQL server 2005 with Win 2003 x64 SP2. Refer this PAM link

2. Do the unicode conversion from and export from source to target as below.

    Source                                  Target

SQL 2005 x64 SP4     --->    SQL 2012 x64

Win 2003 x64  SP2     --->    Win 2008 R2 SP1

Use the 720_EXT UC kernel on the target release.

ERP6 EHP5 supports both the source OS and DB release.

3. Do an enhancement package update from SAP ERP 6.0 EHP5 to SAP ERP 6.0 EHP56.

For 1 , download the upgrade media for ERP 6 EHP5.

For 2 , use the installation master for the NW 702 release.

For 3, download the upgrade media for ERP 6 EHP6
