Can transports complete with their change history be moved between like systems?

I have a question, (it requires a little setup).

Two SAP ECC systems DR1 & DR2, DR2 is a straight copy of DR1.   Repeated changes in an object in DR1 result in multiple transports which are subsequently release and moved to the Q system, etc. We will assume no other changes of any kind are happening.  Here’s the question…..

Can those transports complete with their change history be moved from DR1 to DR2, (the history is the key, we want to maintain it)???  The desired end result is to eliminate DR1 completely and yet retain all change history of the objects in question in DR2…

This is a community for Transportation Management (Movement of goods from place to place).  I think you need a Basis or ABAP community to find an answer to your question on Transports.
